Editorial policy
Preliminary draft
This policy describes how we operate today. It will be updated as the publication grows.
K Beauty Desk publishes educational content about Korean skincare for a US audience. Pages are written by the K Beauty Desk Editorial Team. We do not invent dermatologist, esthetician, or chemist bylines.
What we will not fabricate
We do not invent:
- clinical studies or scientific conclusions we have not sourced
- dermatologist quotes or endorsements
- customer reviews, Amazon ratings, or Olive Young rankings
- product prices, test scores, or “we tried it” notes unless testing happened
- medical diagnoses or guaranteed results
If information is unavailable, we say so. Placeholder topic pages are labeled as placeholders and are not offered as finished guides.
Ingredients
Ingredient explainers and compatibility notes summarize publicly available dermatology education in our own words. We use cautious language. Unknown ingredient tags stay unknown. Compatibility is about how reasonable a pairing looks in a routine for a given reader — not about chemical impossibility or a treatment plan.
Editorial independence from commissions
Written evaluations are not sold to retailers. Affiliate links, when they exist, are labeled and do not change the notes on a product page. See the affiliate disclosure.
Voice
We write in natural American English. We stay science-aware without pretending to be a medical authority. We do not use clickbait, miracle language, or emoji-heavy beauty-blog copy.
Corrections
When we publish a factual error, we will correct it and note the update. A public corrections log will be added when regular publishing begins.
